Used Volkswagen parts from Jetta, Passat, Golf, GTI, Tiguan, Atlas and Beetle donors save a lot compared with dealer prices. Common OEM pulls are 1.8T and 2.0T TSI engines, DSG and automatic transmissions, turbochargers, headlights, mirrors and interior parts.
VW part numbers are written in groups, for example 5C6 837 461; the first group identifies the model and the last letters the revision. Many newer VW and Audi models share the same platform (MQB), so engines and electrical modules can interchange, but always match the part number and the engine code.
